About our Sanskrit classes
Sanskrit is usually taught either as chanting without comprehension or as grammar without joy. Neither leaves you able to open a text and read it. We teach the structure — sandhi, declension, verb forms — alongside recitation, so the sound and the sense arrive together.
Classes suit learners approaching Sanskrit for scholarship, for scripture, or out of plain curiosity about the language underneath so many others. Sessions are online, 1:1 or small-batch.
We encourage flexible learning, providing 1:1 sessions and small batches that fits your schedule.
Sanskrit classes — common questions
- Which Sanskrit levels do you teach?
- Beginner and intermediate.
- Do I need to know Hindi to learn Sanskrit?
- No. Knowing Devanagari helps, and we teach the script from scratch if you do not.
- Is this chanting or actual reading?
- Both, deliberately. Recitation is taught alongside the grammar needed to understand what you are reciting.
- Are classes 1:1 or in a group?
- Both. We run 1:1 sessions and small batches, scheduled around your availability — including evenings and weekends for working professionals and students in other time zones.
